The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) has developed several online resources reporters can download and reference when developing story segments on meningococcal disease. NFID encourages reporters to access these materials throughout the year, as additional resources and editorial topics will be added on an ongoing basis. To receive alerts from NFID following content updates, please click on “Register for E-mail Updates.” On February 23, 2007, NFID held a telebriefing, entitled "Meningococcal Immunization at Key Adolescent Milestones Critical to Keeping America’s Youth Healthy," for media to hear from and interact with the nation’s leading experts on meningococcal disease and immunization and discuss the role of media in shaping information about meningococcal disease that is presented to the public.
